Our History
Pioneering an Industry
In 1985, Arnie Gast embarked on a daring journey, leaving behind a comfortable six-figure salary to pioneer the custom closet business in Lake of the Ozarks. Setting a precedent for hands-on dedication, Arnie assumed ownership of his building and equipment, personally overseeing the manufacturing of every closet and storage system right there in Lake of the Ozarks.
As the business flourished, Arnie's son, David, joined the company, immersing himself in the intricacies of the trade. Through comprehensive training, David worked in the shop, served as an installer, and personally designed hundreds of custom storage systems by 1987. Armed with invaluable experience, David ventured into entrepreneurship, relocating to Kansas City to establish and successfully operate his store.
A Family Business
After eleven years, Arnie shifted his focus to a growing closet accessory business. Consequently, David, along with his wife and three children, returned to Lake of the Ozarks. Assuming control of Arnie's custom closet business, they managed operations until November 2005, steering the company through its formative years.
